London’s Heathrow Airport did not disappoint—in fact, it was exactly as we might have expected.
Rain? Check.
Crowded? Check.
Confusing? Check.
Awesome stores? Check.
Our favorite was the Harry Potter store, naturally.
(Though I was charmed by the convenience store, with GIANT Toblerones and small bags of Skittles (American ones) for approximately the same price.)
And Tiffany & Co, Prada, Harrods, Gucci, Hermes…
We pulled away from the gate and sat for about 75 minutes while a thunderstorm moved through the area. It’s very nice to be on our last leg—no more worrying about making connecting flights. And I love the inflight entertainment—on this flight you can play games against each other. Yummy beat me three times in Battleship.
And soon we’ll be in Tel Aviv!!! Oh, I’m so excited. I’ve wanted to make this trip since I was in ninth grade and wrote a world civ report about modern Israel. 🥳
Looks like you didn’t need the masks for that last leg like you thought.
