It always feels vaguely unjust to get sick on a vacation, doesn’t it? I spent Sunday quite miserable with a stomach bug (sadly, it seems Em’s illness was NOT food poisoning). LaDonna was queasy as well, and Eva had a headache. So Sunday was a missed day, with most of us staying home and trying to recover. Bradley did take Zee, Hebs, and Yum to a cool cave with awesome stalactites and stalagmites, though–I’ll have to get one of them to blog about it.
So today is the day that we engaged two taxis (a van and a sedan) and visited every site in the West Bank we could cram in. (We can’t drive our rental car into the Palestinian territories). We went to Qumran, to the Dead Sea again (so Gee could float again, since they loved it so much the first time), to Jesus’ baptismal site on the Jordan, to Jericho, and to Bethlehem. We started our day at 8:15am, and got home at 7:30pm.
So I will have to write all about it tomorrow–I’m all out of energy and definitely can’t think straight. I will leave you with a teaser photo, though:
